Statement Of Beliefs
The Scriptures: We believe the Bible being the Old and New Testaments is the inspired Word of God, written by men as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21
One God: We believe in one Eternal God, the Creator of the Universe and all things, who exists in three co-equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He has always existed in perfect relationship with Himself. God is love. 1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
God the Father: We believe in God the Father who is all knowing and all powerful, who cares about our lives and hears our prayers and exists in perfect love and holiness. He is a God of justice, full of grace and mercy. He offers salvation from sin and death through Jesus Christ. Luke 10:21-22, John 3:16, Romans 1:7
Jesus the Son: We believe that Jesus Christ is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on earth performing miracles and teaching us how to follow Him. Through His suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection was the full payment for our sins, making restoration to God possible. 1 John 1:7,
Revelation 1:5, Romans 3:10-12
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts of us sin, helps us to discern God’s word, He is omnipresent and omnipotent. He is our indwelling comforter and guide for all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active and for every believer today, and that a personal prayer language is available to all who receive the Holy Spirit. John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9, Galatians 5:22-26
Humanity: We believe that humans were created in the image of God as male and female. We believe that every human being was knit together in their mother’s womb by God Himself, created uniquely and equally, loved by God, and therefore worthy of our love. We believe that sexuality is defined by God and that marriage is between one man and one woman. Genesis 1:26-30, Psalm 8:3-6, Romans 1:19-32
Sin: We believe that the wages of sin is death and that mankind is born with a fallen nature and that all have sinned. As a result mankind cannot attain right relationship with God through its own efforts. Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22
Salvation: We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The atonement made through His death, burial and resurrection is meant for the entire human race, as a gift from God that cannot be earned by works or effort. That whosoever believes in Him and calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31
Second Coming: We believe that Jesus Christ will return in glory at the appointed time to judge both the living and the dead. The saints will be resurrected to reign with Christ, while the wicked will face eternal separation from God. Matthew 24-25, Acts 1:11, Revelation 20:12-15
